Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly asserted that the government prioritizes developing the southern part of Historic Cairo area under the state’s plan to overhaul historic and archeological areas.
This came during the premier’s meeting on Wednesday in Cairo to follow up on the progress realized so far in Historic Cairo renovation projects in the presence of Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and a host of respective planning officials and professors of engineering.
The government is keen on carrying out the development process while taking into account maintaining all historic, heritage, demographic and tourist aspects, Madbouli reiterated.
For his part, the Higher Education Minister detailed proposed plans and policies of development that aim to optimize the use of this archeological area with a view to promoting tourism and linking this area with main road axes.
