Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala al-Saeed on Friday 29/12/2023 discussed in a meeting with US Ambassador to Egypt Herro Mustafa Garg ways of fostering bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the planning minister reviewed the role played by her ministry in developing annual investment plans and ensuring that public investments are directed to improve citizens’ quality of life and increase access to public services, by focusing on sectors that stimulate economic growth, provide decent job opportunities and reduce development gaps between governorates.
Saeed also highlighted the ministry’s part in assessing proposed investment projects and diversifying financing sources for development programs, in addition to building partnerships with the private sector and civil society organizations to strengthen funding for development, in accordance with the updated version of Egypt Vision 2030 launched in mid-2023.
