The Giza Pyramids area hosted the contestants in the Miss Eco International 2022, held from March 6-18 in the cities of Luxor, Hurghada and Cairo, with the participation of 65 countries in order to help revive Egypt’s flow of tourism.
The visit to Giza Pyramids area was sponsored by Tourism and Antiquities Ministry, represented by Tourism Authority.
The contestants were received by the Director General of the Pyramid Antiquities District, Ashraf Mohieldin, who accompanied them on a tour inside the area.
The Director General of Tourism Awareness at the Tourism Authority Maha Galal Eid said that the authority provided facilities for receiving the contestants participating in the competition at Cairo and Luxor airports, and distributed tourism promotion materials to them about the tourist destination and its various products.
The Philippines’ Kathleen Paton won the title of Miss Eco International 2022, which saw contestants from around the world participate in the presence of some artists and celebrities.
The qualifying stages of the contestants were held between Luxor and Cairo, and the coronation ceremony was held under the chairmanship of Amal Rizk in a hotel in New Cairo.
