In photos: Army drops flyers on pro-Morsy protesters

Military aircraft dropped flyers on supporters of deposed President Mohamed Morsy at the Rabea al-Adaweya sit-in on Monday, urging them to abandon violence and avoid approaching military facilities as protests continue.

“Honarable citizens..what we witnessed yesterday showed that some people incite violence on the streets without being intimidated by murder, violence, [or] burning properties or facilities,” the statement read.

“Your armed forces are working seriously on preventing this from happening to you and others. We request that you do not approach military units. Help us preserve your security. Do not let anyone pressure you to cause violence or sabotage without reasons. Your voice is enough,” it added.

“We call on everyone to cooperate and respond to armed forces' instructions to preserve the security and stability of the country. Let only your voice express your opinion. No violence, no sabotage, no bloodshed."
