Photos: AI fools social media with fake photos of King Charles at the beach

A fake AI-generated photo album of King Charles III celebrating his coronation on a beach was spread widely across social media, with many believing them to be real.

In the photo album, Charles wore about ten different colorful suits, and appeared while dancing in the middle of a group of attendees.

The uses of artificial intelligence have recently spread, impacting various fields. AI is able to design images of imaginary people, paintings and written stories.

Charles III was crowned as the King of Britain in Westminster Abbey in the capital, London, in the largest official ceremony the country has witnessed in 70 years.  The tradition of a pompous and luxurious coronation ceremony dates back a thousand years ago.

Charles took over the rule of Britain to succeed his mother, Queen Elizabeth, after her death in September 2022.

At the age of 74, Charles became the oldest British monarch to sit on the throne which dates back to the 14th century. The ceremony also included the coronation of his second wife, Camilla.

Charles III is the first heir to the throne to obtain a bachelor’s degree, in addition to speaking Welsh and French fluently. He is fluent as well in reading Arabic.

Like 40 of his predecessors, Charles was crowned in Westminster Abbey, which has seen every coronation ceremony in the country since William the Conqueror in 1066. But this is only the second time the ceremony has been televised.
