Petroleum Minister talks with US companies to pump investments into Egypt

Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek al-Molla on Saturday met with several officials of US American companies during his visit to Washington, discussing how they might increase their investments to Egypt.

A statement by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said that among the officials Molla met was the first vice prescient of US Noble Energy, with their meeting reviewing the companies plans to increase investments in Egypt and expand work to new areas of research and exploration.

The minister also met with Bechtel’s regional director, discussing the company’s activities in Egypt, its future plans for expansion as well its desire to join the East Mediterranean Gas Forum’s gas advisory committee.

Another official Molla met is the vice president of Honeywell, where they discussed the company’s desire to expand in Egypt and provide a program to help qualify small and medium enterprise career leaders, as part of a framework of state efforts to modernize and develop the nation’s petroleum sector.
