Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim pledged, on Friday morning, to track the perpetrators of the explosion in Ismailia, which took place on Thursday evening, causing the death of a CSF soldier as well as the injury of three officers and 13 soldiers.
Ibrahim visited the scene of the incident on Friday morning. Ibrahim said during his visit that the security forces are currently facing a great challenge and he praised the efforts of officers and soldiers, warning them to be extremely cautious in all situations.
“Those reprehensible terrorist attacks are a last-ditch effort, reacting to the successful security strikes, where various terrorist and dangerous elements were detected,” Ibrahim said.
Ibrahim ordered the head of Ismailia Security Directorate to lead the investigations team himself, stressing they would be arrested soon.
Ibrahim visited injured soldiers and officers at the hospital and gave instructions to provide necessary care for the family of the dead soldier.
