Maestro Nader Abbassi congratulated Egyptian violinist Salma Sorour after being signed by the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (OSR), the most famous orchestra in Europe.
Abbassi wrote a post on his personal account on Facebook, during which he expressed his great happiness with Sorour’s success.
Abbassi wrote, “Switzerland grabbed Salma from Egypt. Do you remember the violinist Salma Sorour in the Pharaohs’ Golden Parade that dazzled the world? The best news I heard was that Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, one of the most famous and greatest orchestras in Europe, signed her as a main member in its first violin group.”
“Congratulations a million, Salma Sorour. All of Egypt is proud of you. All expectations have been fulfilled, thank God,” he added.
Sorour starred in the Pharaohs’ Golden Parade ceremony, during which 22 mummies were transferred the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.
She drew high attention during that event, and became the talk of social media after users praised her talent.
