The Egyptian OnTime Sports channel group has obtained the rights to broadcast the Egyptian national team’s matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The network said in a post on social media: “The OnTime Sports channels broadcast Egypt’s matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.”
The group issued an official statement on Wednesday reading: “After a round of negotiations that lasted for nearly three months, these rights were granted through the approval of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).”
“Accordingly, the OnTime Sports channels obtained the right to broadcast all matches of the Egyptian national team in the World Cup qualifiers, inside and outside its stadium, on its screens.”
“The agreement also included the rights to display summaries of all African teams’ matches in the remaining qualifying groups, and a number of commercial rights related to the qualifiers.”
“The management of “OnTime Sports” and the sports channels sector at United have promised that they will provide a distinguished media service for the qualifying competitions, and integrated coverage for the viewer wherever they are, throughout the period of the qualifying rounds extending from now until 2026, whether through television broadcasting of the matches, analytical studios, or many programs which will be produced specifically for the African qualifiers matches,” it concluded.
