Twenty-year-old Ahmed Hesham Abdel Alem was killed on Tuesday by a speeding car while directing traffic on the New Mansoura International Road, near the site of an earlier microbus accident that injured nine people.
Those injured in the microbus accident were immediately transferred by ambulance to the Central Gamsa Hospital, according to Deputy Minister of Health Saad Mekky.
A speeding car then collided with Ahmed, who is from Belqas, while he was directing traffic near where the microbus flipped over.
Injuries suffered by the individuals involved in the initial accident included bruising and fractures in the right elbow, shoulder and hand, as well as a possible pelvic fracture.
