Petrogas chief Hussein abdel Fattah said the petroleum gas company was able to cover the local needs of butane gas cylinder and that the average rate of pumping had reached one million cylinders per day.
Abdel Fattah added that a cylinder is enough for ten days consumption. The company increased stocks of butane gas cylinders in 2925 stores across Egypt.
The remarks were made on Sunday during the company's general assembly. In attendance were the ministers of petroleum, elecricity, local development and the executive chief of petroleum authority.
During the meeting, the petroleum minister stressed the importance of the public sector's petroleum companies running resources in an economic way and developing mechanisms that would yield positive results and increase revenues.
