One person was killed and six others injured Tuesday in clashes between two families in Gammaliya, a working-class neighborhood in Cairo.
The fight began when a member of one family allegedly sexually harassed a woman from the other family. Members of the two families attacked each other using guns, knives, sticks and empty bottles.
Security services took control of the street clashes two hours later. Police fired shots into the air to disperse the crowds.
Police arrested five people and are searching for 11 others.
