Egyptian actor Omar al-Sherif has said he was deeply affected and shocked by death of his ex-wife Faten Hamama.
In his first remark to Emirati website Erem on Sunday, Sherif said, "I was devastated by death of [actor] Ahmed Ramzy. Faten Hamama's death has ruined me. I now feel I'm at the last stop in life."
Sherif said that he last saw her five years ago at house of their son Tareq and regrets being unable to see her for so long.
Hamama passed away on Saturday after suffering for years of health complications.
