An adviser to Oman's Sultan Qaboos bin Said is the only person who knows all former president Hosni Mubarak' secrets, Al-Ahram's website quoted a prominent Egyptian media professional as saying.
At a forum held at the Alexandria Sporting Club on Saturday, Hamdy Qandil, a media expert, said Qaboos' adviser Omar al-Zawawy "holds the keys to Mubarak's wealth."
Arnaud de Borchgrave, an editor from United Press International, said few days ago that Alaa and Gamal Mubarak asked Zawawy, who visited them in Tora Prison, to deliver a message to Qaboos in which they appealed for help.
According to Borchgrave, Alaa and Gamal asked Zawawy to highlight what they described as suffering at the hands of Egyptian authorities.
Qandil said Mubarak used to send Egyptian mangoes on private aircraft to Zawawy. The cost of transporting one mango reached approximately LE3000.
Qandil is known as one of the harshest critics of Mubarak’s regime.
