An official source at the Suez Canal Authority said Monday that the revenues of the Suez Canal during the first six months of this year saw an increase of US$136 million, compared to the same period last year.
"Total revenues were $2.572 billion during the first half of this year, compared to $2.436 billion during the same period last year," according to the source.
The Suez Canal is one of the main sources of Egypt's national income and a vital route for international trade.
