Major General Ismail al-Nagdy, chief of the National Authority for Tunnels, said the Transportation Ministry plans to simultaneously complete the 10th of Ramadan-Belbeis electric train and the third metro line that reaches out to Cairo International Airport in two years' time.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb, according to Nagdy, will be in charge of settling the LE11 billion agreement between the government and the French corporation that handles the digging for the fourth phase of the third metro line.
The fourth phase will link the Ahram area in Heliopolis with Salam city and the Cairo Airport and will pass through al-Alf Maskan, al-Nozha al-Gedida and Qebaa City, he added.
