Director of the Curriculum Development Center Sanaa Gomaa said the new curriculum of GSC and other revised curriculum will include lessons on the Suez Canal and the role of the army, in addition to some concepts on national security and addiction.
The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics submitted a proposal to the Curriculum Development Center to add lessons on the census to students, Gomaa said.
Many government agencies have submitted proposals to the center to include lessons about their services including Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, the Banking Institute and the Ministry of Supply, she added.
The request is still under study and will be likely added to the social studies and the Arabic language materials if approved, according to Gomaa.
The Banking Institute suggested lessons on the importance of saving money, adding that the proposal includes creating banking units or departments within schools where a banking employee would teach children education about the banking definitions, according to Gomaa.
