The Cabinet will convene on Monday morning at its headquarters to deliver a speech before Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb heads to the presidential palace to submit the Cabinet's resignation to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, a Cabinet official said Sunday.
The official added the Cabinet would await the president to accept their resignation.
“The Cabinet will submit the resignation after President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi takes the oath,” Mehleb said last week expressing happiness over accomplishing that phase of roadmap as well as his personal engagement in such achievement.
“The Cabinet has succeeded in its mission. The president has the right to choose his assistants in the coming phase, especially as the challenges we now face are huge,” he added.
