An officer was killed in Ismailia on Tuesday after police raided a terrorist safe haven in the Ard al-Gameyat area.
Officer Wahid Mohamed Wahid was shot multiple times as he battled suspected militants in a residential area. He was transferred to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
At least one suspected militant was also killed in the operation.
