One police officer and ten other conscripts were wounded in North Sinai’s city of Arish when a roadside bomb exploded in their armoured vehicle during a survey mission.
The victims were taken to Arish hospital for treatment.
The Sinai Peninsula has seen recurrent fatal attacks targeting police and army forces since the overthrow of former President Mohamed Morsi in 2013. Most of the attacks were claimed by affiliates of the Islamic State.
