The number of Egyptian students attending UK universities has increased from 1,695 students in 2014/15 to 2,895 students in the 2019/20 academic year, marking a 70 percent increase, official statistics report.
Erudera.com reports that while the UK experienced a healthy increase in Egyptian students throughout the past years, the total number of international students increased by just five percent 2011/12 and 2017/18 academic years.
During other academic years, the number of students from Egypt studying in the UK stood as follows:
- 2,100 students in 2015/16
- 2,355 students in 2016/17
- 2,630 students in 2017/18
- 2,740 students in 2018/19
