Revenue from non-petroleum exports in the January to November period has increased by 12 percent since last year, said Trade and Industry Minsiter Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour.
This year's revenues amounted to roughly LE134 billion compared to 2012's LE120 billion.
He explained that the increase in export value reaches 93 percent of the LE145 billion target set by an annual strategic plan to double exports by the end of this year.
November exports alone rose by 2 percent to reach LE10.616 billion, compared with 2012's LE10.455 billion during the same month.
Abdel Nour pledged to continue supporting exports to increase their competitiveness on foreign markets, and to open new markets for them.
The value of the Chemical & Fertilizers Export Council's exports has reached LE26.9 billion during the past 11 months, compared to LE26.2 billion last year, according to the foreign trade data.
As for the food industry, it has achieved a breakthrough LE18.2 billion in revenue compared to LE15.8 billion last year, while agricultural crops made LE12.562 billion.
