Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Aati assured on Friday that “No party dares to tamper with Egypt’s borders and sovereignty because the Egyptian response will be very harsh.”
In an interview with AlQahera News Channel on Friday, he added that “The arrogance of force will not achieve peace and security for Israel, and this is only contingent on returning rights to their people and meeting the legitimate demands of the Palestinian people.”
“The October 6, 1973 war reminded Israel that force alone will not lead to peace, and imposing their will is unacceptable.”
He stressed that: “There is no compromise on the Egyptian borders and there are strong messages sent by the Egyptian state that the armed forces are fully prepared in terms of equipment, training and combat to defend the borders, and this is a given.”
Regarding the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) issue, Abdel-Aati said that: “Egypt is a large country and cannot, under any circumstances, accept a reduction in its annual share of the Nile waters, and preparations are underway for a major international conference at the beginning of next year with the aim of attracting foreign investments.”
