A Nigerian passenger died after he fell from the top of the arrival hall at Cairo International Airport Thursday evening. Investigations suggested that the victim committed suicide due to difficult financial conditions.
A security source employed by the airport said after police detectives checked surveillance cameras and questioned eyewitnesses, authorities determined the cause of death was suicide. The victim, who was en route to Abuja, allegedly attempted to borrow money from several passengers at the airport, then threw himself to his death. He reportedly died instantly.
