Newborn found on Giza street transferred to medical center

Solidarity Ministry officials were handed over an infant found on Sunday morning on Sudan Street in Giza and placed it at a medical center in Maadi after completing the necessary legal measures.
A woman found the child on Sudan Street, inside a small travel bag on Sunday and filed a claim at the police station with the incident.

The Solidarity Ministry officials were handed over the baby boy at Agouza Police Station.

A medical examination on the child showed he was only seven days old. He was placed in al-Awadi Medical Center in Maadi, affiliated to Belgian FACE organization.

He was fed as soon as he entered the center and a medical team took care of him.

A bracelet usually attached to newborns at hospitals was found in the hand of the child bearing the mother’s name.

A claim was filed at the police station by the medical center on the bracelet in an attempt to find his mother.
