New government faces 5 challenges

The new government of Sherif Ismail, who was sworn in before President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Saturday morning, is facing the following five challenges.
 
1. The parliamentary elections:
 
To follow-up on the parliamentary election, the third merit of the road map, impartially and objectively.
 
2. Corruption:
 
To eliminate corruption in state institutions, especially after the Agriculture Ministry's bribery case and corruption allegations regarding certain ministers from Mehleb’s Cabinet.
 
3. The Civil Service Law:
 
This law was issued in March amid objections by government employees, but its bylaws have not yet been concluded.
 
4. The dollar exchange rate:
 
The Egyptian pound has dropped against the dollar, as the official exchange rate hit LE7.83. Add to it the decline in foreign reserves, the devaluation of the Chinese currency and expectations that the United States would change interest rates.
 
5. Economic Conference projects:
 
To attract investments by implementing the projects that were discussed at the Sharm el-Sheikh Economic Conference, including the new administrative capital.
