A source close to the “Al-Kabir Awy” TV series cast said that what was recently published about negotiations between actor Ahmed Mekky and pop singer Shakira for Shakira to appear in the third season of the series is “no more than just a rumor”.
The source told the Middle East News Agency (MENA) that Mekky himself was surprised to hear the news, adding that he succeeded in persuading Lebanese singer Nagwa Karam and talk show host Bassem Youssef to appear as guest stars.
The source also said that Egyptian actress Dalal Abdel Aziz is playing the role of “Om Hazlaqoum,” the same role she played in the film “No Retreat, No Surrender.”
The the third season of the show, which consists of 15 episodes like the first two seasons, is directed by Ahmed al-Guindy and Hisham Fathy, and is co-starred by Donia Samir Ghanem, Mohamed Shahin, and Hisham Ismail.
