NCHR decries Israeli bombing of Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza

The National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) has vehemently condemned the horrifying massacre perpetrated by Israel in the Jabalya refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, which left hundreds of people killed and injured, including women, children, and older persons on Tuesday31/10/2023.

This criminal act is yet another instance of the genocidal, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement crimes committed by the Israeli occupation authorities and army in occupied Palestine in general and the Gaza Strip in particular, in flagrant violation of human rights principles, as well as international humanitarian law, norms, and values, the council said in a press release.

The council reiterated its call for consolidated international efforts to stop the war on Gaza, which threatens international peace and security, asserting also the need for a transparent international probe into the crimes committed by the occupation authorities against defenseless civilians.

An Israeli strike targeting a Hamas commander in the densely populated Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza has left catastrophic damage and killed a large number of people, according to eyewitnesses and medics in the enclave.
