Meetings of the Tripartite National Committee of the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam began on Thursday morning in Cairo with the participation of 12 officials from Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia, as well as the water ministers of the three countries.
Officials will discuss the selection of the International Advisory Office which will conduct two studies on the hydraulicity of the Renaissance Dam and the social, economic and environmental impacts of the project on the three countries.
The session is scheduled to start with a word for the ministers followed by three closed sessions over two days ending Friday. A press conference to announce the results of the meeting is scheduled to be held afterwards.
