National Alliance to Support Legitimacy (NASL), led by Muslim Brotherhood, has called for a new week of protests starting Friday, coinciding with beginning of the second semester, scheduled to start on 22 February and the International Student Day on 21 February.
NASL said in a statement on Wednesday, “Universities will restore glory. Students are able to shake the coup. Let the students reveal the terrorism of the coup.”
Supreme Council of Universities decided in January to extend the mid-year vacation of universities to one month instead of 15 days as usual. Azhar University also decided to exend the vacation until 8 March instead of 22 February.
