Osama, son of deposed President Mohamed Morsy, has said that his father will address the nation in a message relayed from his prison cell near Alexandria.
The website of the Freedom and Justice Party on Tuesday quoted Osama Morsy as saying the ex-president has agreed on the content of the message with his defense lawyers. It will address the various currents and factions of Egyptian society, he said.
Defense spokesperson Mohamed al-Damaty said he will announce the outcome of a prison visit to Morsy during a Wednesday press conference. "And I will relay Morsy's message," he said.
Morsy’s defense team had visited him in the Borg al-Arab prison on Tuesday for an hour.
