Secretary General of the Arab League and potential presidential candidate Amr Moussa said he will respect the 1979 peace treaty with Israel.
In an interview with Deutsche Welle (German Radio), Moussa said Egypt is committed to its peace treaty with Israel, but the blockade of Gaza and the humanitarian suffering of its people are unacceptable for Egypt.
Moussa also said Egypt's elections must be held quickly as the country is going through a transitional phase and the path to democracy will restore stability.
