‘Mousa’ movie earns LE1.1 mn on second night of screening

The new “Mousa” movie earned LE1.1 million in revenues on the second night of its screening, Thursday.

The movie is produced by Synergy Films, New Century, and Misr International Films.

The movies includes extensive visual effects and graphics, which represent the growth of Egyptian cinema. Its success was confirmed by many filmmakers and fans, including director Ahmed Medhat.

The sci fi film follows Yahya, who finds himself alone without a friend. He decides to invent a robot “Mousa” to be his friend, but soon realizes it might not be as simple as he thinks.

The movie is starring Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Iyad Nassar, Salah Abdullah, Asma Aboul Yazid, Sarah al-Shamy and directed by Peter Mimi.

Filming began in October, after two years of preparation and writing. Production experience some delay due to the coronavirus pandemic.
