Giza security services arrested a woman who threw her baby from the balcony of her father's house on the fourth floor in Imbaba after a fight with her husband.
The baby fell on a canopy and suffered bruises in different parts of his body.
The woman, who is suffering from a mental illness, was detained for four days pending investigation.
Prosecutors are sending her to a psychiatrist to determine her condition.
