Morsy maintains stance on trial: Morsy’s family

The family of toppled President Mohamed Morsy issued a statement Sunday saying he is holding on to his position and considers the trial scheduled for Monday void.
The statement added that Morsy's family would not attend the trial.
It read: "[Morsy] stands firm despite months of abuse and deprivation of all his rights as a president and as a citizen, despite systematic distortion."
The statement, signed by Morsy's son, Osama, described Morsy as the "legitimate abducted president."
Morsy and 14 Muslim Brotherhood leaders will stand trial on Monday 4 November over charges of inciting the killing of protesters outside Ettihadeya Presidential Palace in December 2012.
