The son of Egypt’s former president, Mohamed Morsi, announced his wedding on Saturday.
On his Facebook page, Osama Morsi said he married Israa al-Naggar, who belongs to their home province of Sharqiya.
“Thanks to Allah, the most-generous,” young Morsi wrote on his Facebook page, but did not provide further details on his wife, give information on when the wedding took place, or explained where it was held.
Osama Morsi, along with more than 700 others, will stand trial on December 12 over charges of violence. The charges are related to the rampage that followed a bloody security crackdown on a major sit-in in Cairo’s Rabaa al-Adaweya Square which condemned his father’s overthrow from Egypt’s presidency. Prosecutors ordered his arrest six days ago.
