Mohamed Salah sweeps world stars in BBC’s ‘Best Player in the World’ poll

Egyptian footballer Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s top scorer, swept the world’s football stars in a poll by the BBC Sports network which asked fans about the best football player in the world currently.

Mohamed Salah came as the best choice with 83 percent of the votes, while Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid’s striker, came in second place with nine percent, while Brazilian Vinicius Junior, Real Madrid’s winger, received four percent.

Spain’s Lamine Yamal and other players received two percent each.

Salah impressively received such a large percentage of support even in light of the strong competition from renowned starts such as Mbappe, Vinicius and Yamal, thanks to the performance and the fantastic numbers that the Pharaoh is raking this season.

Salah led Liverpool to a 2-0 victory over Manchester City, on Sunday, as he scored a goal and made another, in the 26th round of the English Premier League.

“The Egyptian King” also made history after his brilliance in Sunday’s match, including reaching the 241st goal with Liverpool, occupying third place in the club’s list of top scorers throughout history.
