Egyptian international football star Mohamed Salah made a historic new record with Liverpool FC, specifically in the Champions League competition for the 2024-25 season.
Liverpool FC faced the French Lille (LOSC Lille) on Tuesday evening, as part of the Champions League competition for the 2024-25 season.
Salah scored Liverpool’s first goal in the 34th minute of the match, which ended in Liverpool’s favor two-to-one.
With this goal, Salah reached the 50th goal in his European career with Liverpool.
Anfield, the home of Salah’s teammates, hosted Liverpool’s match against Lille in the seventh round of the Champions League.
Salah back in December received the “Fans’ Footballer of the Year (2024) in England” title according to fan votes.
As reported via the British newspaper ‘The Mirror’, Salah clinched the title after a strong competition with Cole Palmer, the Chelsea star, and Anthony Gordon, the Newcastle United player.
Salah had been voted the best player in England for 2024 by the Mirror, with Cole Palmer coming in second and Anthony Gordon third.
