Mohamed Salah joins list of 5 football legends following Liverpool vs Bournemouth

Egyptian international Mohamed Salah on Saturday made history in the English Premier League during Liverpool FC’s match against its host Bournemouth in the 24th round of the league.

Salah scored the first goal for Liverpool from a penalty kick in the 30th minute of the first half of the match.

The “Egyptian King” thus entered the list of legends who scored 20 goals or more during five separate seasons in the tournament, namely: Englishman Alan Shearer (seven seasons), Argentine Sergio Aguero (six seasons), Englishman Harry Kane (six seasons) and Frenchman Thierry Henry (five seasons).

Salah also became the sixth top scorer in the history of the English Premier League with 177 goals, after equaling the record of the English legend Frank Lampard, reducing the gap to only eight goals between him and Sergio Aguero, who occupies fifth place on that list.

The Egyptian striker strengthened his lead in the list of top scorers in the current version of the Premier League with 20 goals scored in only 23 matches and has a postponed match, and is now two goals ahead of Norwegian star Erling Haaland, Manchester City striker, followed by Swedish Alexander Isak, Newcastle United striker, in third place with 17 goals.
