Liverpool FC star Mohamed Salah on Friday received the “Fans’ Footballer of the Year in England” title according to fan votes.
As reported via the British newspaper ‘The Mirror’, Salah clinched the title after a strong competition with Cole Palmer, the Chelsea star, and Anthony Gordon, the Newcastle United player.
Salah had been voted the best player in England for 2024 by the Mirror, with Cole Palmer coming in second and Anthony Gordon third.
The Mirror report said: “Salah is a true legend at Liverpool and the Premier League, and his incredible form has seen him named the 2024 Footballer of the Year, alongside the titles he won in 2020 and 2021.”
“Salah is now 32 years old and still at his peak. He is the first player in the major European leagues to reach 10 goals and 10 assists this season,” the report added.
