Mohamed Salah, Egypt’s and Liverpool’s football superstar, has ranked fifth place on the list world’s current ten most expensive players, Youm7 reported.
The Spanish newspaper Diario AS estimated that Salah’s value in the global market is currently at 158 million euros – outperforming Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, and Barcelona striker Antoine Griezmann, Manchester City duo Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne, and Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.
The French star of Saint-Germain Kylian Mbappe topped the list of the ten most expensive players in the world after his market value reached 225 million euros, followed by his colleague in the French capital team Neymar with 192.9 million euros, then Barcelona star Lionel Messi with 186.6 million euros, and then Real Madrid’s Spanish star Hazard with 162.8 million euros.
Salah won three championships with Liverpool, including the Champions League this year after beating Tottenham 2:0 in the final match at the Spanish capital Madrid. He also won the UEFA Super Cup on penalties in the final against Chelsea and became the first Egyptian to win the FIFA Club World Cup with Liverpool.
Salah is the third Egyptian player to gain the honor of participating in the final match of the FIFA Club World Cup, preceded by Hussein al-Shahat and Yahya Nader.
