Mohamed Salah achieves new record in the English Premier League

Egyptian national and Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah achieved a new record in the English Premier League after his assist to Curtis Jones during the team’s match with Aston Villa on Sunday.

Salah has scored or assisted in 100 goals in 115 appearances in the Premier League. He scored 73 goals and assisted on 27, making him the fastest non-English player to make 100 goals in Premier League history.

Liverpool pulled off a difficult victory over Aston Villa on Sunday, scoring two clean goals in the 33rd round of the English Premier League.

Liverpool now tops the Premier League table with 89 points, making the Reds officially guaranteed to bring home the championship title, the club’s first league title since 1990.

Aston Villa is in eighteenth place with 27 points.

Salah played throughout Sunday’s match, while Aston Villa midfielder and Egyptian national Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” played until the 85th minute, and Egyptian right back Ahmed al-Muhammadi sat on the Aston Villa bench the entire match.

Liverpool is hoping to break Manchester City football club’s record by scoring more than 100 points in a single season. With only 12 points remaining and five rounds left until the end of the season, they certainly appear to have a chance.

For his part, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said he is not interested in breaking Manchester City’s record.

“It would be really great if we could do something special, but we really don’t think too much about it. These boys are really fighting for these three points in a difficult game,” Klopp said.

“If we want to have the record, we pretty much have to win all the games. It’s not complicated, the boys know it, and it’s not necessary to mention it to this group,” he added.
