Egyptian actor Mohamed Henedi discussed his latest film “Marei al-Primo”, which will be shown in cinemas, starting Wednesday – marking Henedi’s return to cinema.
In statements to Al-Masry Al-Youm, Henedi confirmed that Marei al-Primo is based on a real person, someone who he says ‘lives within him, and said the writer Ihab Blebel has worked hard to tell his story in the best manner.
“The film is written and we have been thinking about it for four years. We exerted an effort and we worked on it. I know the character personally, may he Rest In Peace,” he added.
“We are all happy with the return of Saeed Hamed and we all hope we have done a good job… that the audience will like.”
The story of “Marei al-Primo” tells the tale of Marei who becomes rich in a blink of an eye and has a family whose great grandfather is actor Ahmed Badir.
The grandfather dies and leaves his grandson to face many difficulties.
Bedside Henedi and Badir, the film stars Nancy Salah, Mustafa Abu Saree, Alaa Morsi, and Ghada Adel.
