Moderately hot weather for Egypt on Monday

Meteorologists predict moderately hot weather on Monday during the daytime over Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, with moderate weather on the northern coasts, hot weather on South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt, and very hot on southern Upper Egypt.

The weather will be mild by nightfall over Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, northern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt, while moderate on South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) warned citizens of northern Upper Egypt governorates of an upcoming heat wave starting Wednesday until Friday.

Alexandria: 26C

Cairo: 32C

Hurghada: 34C

Sharm el-Sheikh: 36C

Qena: 38C

Luxor: 39C

Aswan: 40C

 

Active winds expected on parts of Greater Cairo, northwestern coasts, South Sinai and Upper Egypt, disrupting maritime navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and 2.25 meters in height with northwestern surface winds, while waves in the Red Sea will be rough, ranging between 2.5 and four meters in height with northwestern surface winds.
