Meteorologists predict moderately hot weather on Monday during the daytime on Cairo and Lower Egypt, with moderate weather on the northern coasts and very hot weather on Upper Egypt.
Mild weather is expected by nightfall on Cairo and Lower Egypt, while moderate on Upper Egypt.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 29C in Alexandria, 36C in Cairo, 38C in Sharm el-Sheikh, 39C in Hurghada, 43C in Qena, 44C in Luxor and Aswan.
Maximum and minimum humidity levels are: Cairo and Lower Egypt 30-75, the northern coasts 40-80, northern Upper Egypt 20-45, and southern Upper Egypt 15-30.
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said in a statement that Upper Egypt is affected by the Indian summer monsoon which affects Egypt every summer, making it hotter and more humid.
Winds will be mostly northwestern and moderate across most of Egypt, active on the northern coasts and some parts of Upper Egypt.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between one and 1.5 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds on both seas.
