Moderately hot, humid weather over Cairo, Lower Egypt on Tuesday

Meteorologists predict moderately hot and humid weather on Tuesday in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, with moderate weather on the northern coasts, hot weather north of Upper Egypt, and very hot weather south of Upper Egypt.

Maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 31C in Alexandria, 35C in Cairo, 40C in Qena and Luxor, and 41C in Aswan.

Temperatures will be milder at night over most parts of the country, with moderate temperatures in Upper Egypt.

Medium rains (approximately 30 percent) are expected to fall on South Sinai and the Red Se mountains, while 20 percent of the rains falling on southern Upper Egypt.

Mists are expected in the morning at Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the northern coasts.

Winds are expected to be moderate and active over most of the country, possibly disrupting maritime navigation in the South Sinai.

Expected minimum and maximum humidity levels are: Cairo and Lower Egypt 35-80 percent, the northern coasts 60-88 percent, northern Upper Egypt 25-65 percent, and southern Upper Egypt 18-35 percent.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and two meters in height, while waves in the Red Sea will be rough, ranging between two and 2.5 meters in height, with northwesterly surface winds on both seas.
