The Egyptian Metrological Authority predicted on Thursday moderate weather across Egypt’s northwestern coasts while expecting warm weather to dominate the northeastern coasts, Lower Egypt, Cairo and the north of Upper Egypt.
Hot temperatures will dominate the south of Upper Egypt during daylight hours while very cold weather is expected across the country overnight.
Mist will affect visibility in the morning along the north coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo, and the Suez Canal cities.
Low and medium level cloud cover is expected for the north coast. Winds are anticipated to be moderate, mostly southwesterly in direction and active in South Sinai and the Red Sea, disturbing maritime navigation.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate and range between 1.5 and 2 meters high, while waves in the Red Sea will be light and range between 2 and 2.5 meter with northwesterly surface winds in both seas.
