Egyptian mobile operator Mobinil said on Monday it had lost around 80-100 million Egyptian pounds (US$14-17 million) during the protests that led to the toppling of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
"The mentioned losses have been estimated at between 80 to 100 million Egyptian pounds, due to breakage and destruction of mobile stations and some of the company's shops, and delays in internet services and short message service (sms)," Mobinil said in a statement to the bourse.
