Egyptian football superstar Mohamed Salah will arrive to Cairo on Monday, to join the national team camp in preparation for the match against Malawi on March 24, at the Air Defense Stadium, as part of the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations, to be held in Ivory Coast.
Al-Masry Al-Youm learned that Salah will hold a meeting with players at the camp, being the team leader in order to motivate them ahead of the qualifier matches.
This will help the national team improve its position in the fourth group standings, as they aspire to join the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Pharaohs are in the last place with three points, the same as Ethiopia, Malawi and Guinea.
According to a source within the national team – who spoke upon anonymity- the coach of the national team Rui Vitoria is counting on Salah after his recent improvement in the English Premier League.
