Mo Salah becomes highest-scoring Aab in Champions League history

Liverpool sensational Mohamed Salah continued breaking records to set a new Arab record as the highest-scoring Arab in UEFA Champions League history with 13 goals, surpassing Algerian Rabah Madjer who netted 12 times during his spell with FC Porto in 17 matches.

Salah’s 13 goals, came as follows: he scored twice with Swiss team Basel in 2013-14 season, then a goal with Roma in the 2015-16 season, and an impressive 10 goals with Liverpool in the 2017-18 season.

On Tuesday, Salah’s two goals in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final encounter against Roma surged his goal scoring record to 13 in the Champions League.

Last week, Mo Salah was crowned the 2017/18 Premier League Player of the Year by the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) after his spectacular ongoing 43-goal debut season.

The ‘Egyptian king’, moreover, has overtaken former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba as the highest scoring African player in a single Premier League season after scoring his 30th goal against Bournemouth on Saturday.
